Collaboration

If you are a start-up company in the space or big data sectors then you may be eligible for incubation in the Higgs Centre. Other companies, regardless of sector, can access the facilities available at the Centre, primarily through co-working and collaboration with the UK ATC.

Facilities

The facilities described on our Facilities page are all available for commercial use at competitive rates. Please contact Ruairidh Henderson if you would like to use any of them.

Collaborating with the UK ATC

The UK ATC has expertise in remote sensing, system calibration, testing and data visualisation and can be called on for industry projects and research alike. We are used to leading and working in large collaborative groups across borders, managing multiple projects simultaneously.

UK ATC partnerships have been with both small companies as well as multi-national organisations. It has provided novel design solutions through national and international collaborative work in major projects.

Please get in touch with Ruairidh Henderson for more information.

Collaborating with the IfA

The IfA has extensive expertise in data management and processing, database technology, statistical methods for modelling complex systems, high performance computing, machine learning, and image processing and analysis at very large scale.

You can collaborate with the IfA either through academic consultancy via the University’s Edinburgh Innovations organizations, or develop more extended projects in long-term collaborations. Please get in touch with Joe Zuntz if you are interested in such work.
